The joint expert forum of the HEA and the Federal Environment Agency on November 21, 2023 will focus on the energy potential of ventilation systems
“How do I equip my building to be climate-friendly and future-proof in times of high energy prices? – Many building owners and renovators are currently unsure. This is where we come in with the 12th Residential Ventilation Forum and focus on the energy potential of ventilation solutions. As important as the current public discussion about the “right” heating system is, ventilation systems with heat recovery are an often underestimated complementary technology: “The heat that is not dissipated unused from the building with the exhaust air does not have to be generated and distributed in the first place,” says Dr. Jan Witt, Managing Director of the HEA Association in Berlin.
Dr. Wolfram Birmili, UBA Head of Division for Indoor Hygiene and Health-Related Environmental Pollution, emphasizes: “Sufficient ventilation – whether mechanical or natural – is fundamental to our well-being when we are indoors. At the same time, energy and resources have become enormously more expensive. In order to increase the overall energy efficiency of buildings, attention must be paid not only to thermal insulation but also to effective ventilation technology. Aspects such as heat recovery and the use of renewable energies should be considered here. Funding programmes help with the financial implementation of energy saving and decarbonization of buildings.
Digital and free of charge: The program and the possibility to register can be found at http://www.forum-wohnungslueftung.de/
The online forum focuses on practical solutions for good indoor air quality. In particular, the energy potential of different ventilation technologies is highlighted. Practical examples, basic principles and solutions will provide the market partners at the 12th Residential Ventilation Forum with specific recommendations for action.
The TZWL will be taking part in the forum with its own presentation and is looking forward to exchanging ideas with the members of the HEA and other specialist speakers.
