The European Test Center for Residential Ventilation Units (TZWL) e. V. will be moving from its previous premises in Dortmund’s city center to a modern commercial location in Adolph-Kolping-Str. in Schwerte within the next few months. The relocation affects both the test benches and the offices and will be carried out with as little interruption to testing activities as possible. An initial move of the decentralized test benches is well advanced, so that the test technicians will be able to start the first tests in the new laboratory in September.<\/span><\/p>

As soon as the work on the decentralized test stand has been completed and the last scheduled tests at the old location have been finished, the dismantling work on the central ventilation and leak test stand will begin. As planned, TZWL’s entire testing portfolio will be available at the new location from January 2024. The TZWL plans to use the space available in the new test halls for future expansions. This should make it possible to test ventilation units with very high operating ranges and air\/air heat pumps.<\/span><\/p>

Patrik Wernsmann, Deputy Test Center Manager at TZWL, says: “We have made a virtue out of necessity and are taking our testing facilities to a new level with the move – both in terms of our services and energy efficiency. I’m looking forward to welcoming our first customers to our new, prestigious premises in September. My special thanks go to Egon Schrezenmaier and his team, who have been our partners in refrigeration technology for years and are now supporting us in word and deed as our new landlord.”<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The move to the Schrezenmaier K\u00e4ltetechnik site, a long-standing member and supporter of the TZWL, enables the association to test domestic ventilation units in accordance with the latest standards with the highest quality requirements in the long term and to offer manufacturers the best possible service.<\/span><\/p>

The rental agreement for the previous TZWL premises in the heart of Dortmund expires next year due to the demolition of the building. The domestic ventilation specialists are using this forced move as an opportunity to comprehensively modernize the test laboratories so that in future tests can be carried out not only in compliance with standards, but also with far greater energy efficiency.
